Trade Show 2017

I can’t even begin to tell you all what an awesome time we had at the Trade Show yesterday!  I am overwhelmed by the awesome compliments and joy that the customers who attended expressed!  And I can’t thank everyone enough, from vendors to staff to volunteers and customers, for such a fun and creative day!

If you missed the event stop in this week to see what we unveiled!  Unfortunately you won’t get to see the prototypes for the two exclusive items we showcased, but our staff knows about them and can take your preorders for both!  So, check out what we saw and did…

Kimmy showcased a new company, SA Crafters and gave away a gift to everyone. SA Crafters does all kinds of adorable wood shapes and shadow boxes. Look at these amazing projects! Each one can be customized with your choice of paints and ribbons! My favorite is the violin, with a close second being the Fairy Birdcage!

Tammy taught everyone all about Tim Holtz’s new Oxide Inks and did a Victorian inspired tag project with everyone. These inks leave a velvety finish that I just love! The 12 colors match his Distress colors and are just so yummy! These inks will not make “mud” when the colors combine, they will actually create new colors and once dry, a new color on top retains its vibrancy, it doesn’t change color! We are having the best time playing with these inks!  She also handed out a Ranger Apron and a sample of Amodex Ink & Stain remover to everyone.  Amodex is an amazing ink and stain remover that all crafters should have!

Carol was super excited to show everyone her new favorite stamp company, Newton’s Nook. Newton’s Nook has adorable animal stamps and dies, but they also do other styles of stamps as well! Carol gave everyone a free stamp and a project kit to create the Ship In A Bottle card!

Leslie showed everyone the new 8×8 Pallet from Maya Road, which was decorated using their amazing dies!  The typewriter one is my favorite, with the flowers a close second!  And everyone received a free pallet!

Karen got to show everybody the fabulous new Deep Rectangle Matchbox and Tag & Pocket Album from Graphic 45. She made the album into a Perpetual Birthday and Anniversary Calendar. The pockets make it a super convenient place to store your cards also, so that they are ready to go when needed! Everyone received a Matchbox so that they could make their own perpetual calendar!

Marissa got to show everyone the prototypes for the new Cutterpillar Glow Mats. And WOW-WEE is it ever cool. As thin an IPad, these amazing “light boxes” have three light settings and come with a self healing cutting pad. There are two models, the big difference being that the Pro model has a 4 hour rechargeable battery life for portability! There is also an optional glass mat that fits either model. In the near future there will also be a score pad for it…can you imagine how cool that will be for card making and 3D projects?? I can’t wait to get mine!

Eileen Hull and her Scotty were with us to show all of her new dies that are coming out soon. Everyone made an adorable basket and got to play with her new Color Blends inks. These inks blend like butta and dry quickly. The ink is contained inside the ink pad’s handle so that you never get your fingers inky by clutching a little ink pad! Everyone fell in love with her new Travel Journal die and couldn’t get over how adorable her Travel Trailer die is!

Marcia was pleased to show everyone the fabulous new 2in1 360 Crafter’s Tote. The wheels swivel 360 degrees for easy maneuverability and the “briefcase” that slides over the handle gives you extra space! The best part…the rose gold zippers and hardware! Is it wrong of me to want one just for that?!?!?!

I was excited to show everyone the amazing new Mini Album Stands from Market Wood. These stands are reasonably priced and make a fabulous gift for anyone or showpiece for your own home!  There are also really cute themes like the Mickey Mouse one and the dog bone one. And they have beautiful 12″x12″ Page Frames!

Christopher Allen from Brutus Monroe was with us to show his amazing line of stamps and inks. All of his products are very well thought out, from his all purpose inks (yes, really…all purpose!), to his glue and stamp cleaner to his actual stamps. You really need to check these out soon!

Chelsea was literally the sweetest of the demonstrators as she handed out fudge samples from Blue Moose Sweet Shoppe AND gave everyone a Bunny Pizza Box that perfectly holds a slab if this amazingly creamy fudge.

Sandy brought us the prototype of the Table Tidy from Tonic so that everyone could be first on the list for this amazingly innovative space saver! The main pocket unit can hold a combination of double and single pockets on three sides so that you create extra space for all your tools and goodies! Sandy also brought all the new colors of Nuvo Embellishment Mousse, Crystal Drops, Glitter Drops, Jewel Drops, and Glow Drops!

Jennifer from Faber Castell came and made cards with everyone using their new Iridescent Gelatos, Ice Layers and stencils. She was giving away lots of freebies and everyone had fun playing with her amazing products!  We also got to see what the Color Fizz tablets do and boy are they fun!

Karyn was here showing off Paper House’s new Flipbooks and Flip Albums. Flip Albums are stand up waterfall albums that hold up to 8 photos and come with stickers to embellish. Flipbooks (Karyn is holding the baby boy book) are albums that come with interactive, preprinted pages. You just have to embellish with stickers, ribbon and photo mats! There is a baby girl and boy one, two different wedding ones and a travel one. These were a huge hit a a must see!

Raelene showed off my favorite new Bible Journaling stamps. These stamps are, of course, perfect for card making as well and her samples were to die for!  Love it!  And, everyone got a free stamp!

Rosemary showed everyone her new passion…Adorn It wood plaques. Think paint by numbers on wood with engraved lines! Simply paint, varnish and then stain so that the stain seeps into the cracks and makes the image pop! Everyone received a wooden heart…that perfectly fits the custom “Welcome” plaque that Caroleee created just for us!

Kathie helped everyone make an interactive card using Lawn Fawn’s Hillside Pop-Up die and the Bicycle Built For You stamp and die set. She also showed awesome samples of the slider dies and Pop-Up box!

Shawna got the fun job of handing out a GORGEOUS flower from a new paper company, 49 & Market. This companies papers are simply amazing and the heavy weight paper feels so luxurious. Their flowers are unusual and simply amazing!

Chantelle absolutely loves organization and she got to showcase a fun and innovative idea for organizing….galvanized metal bins, trays, tool boxes and “cake stands” from Jillibean Soup by Hampton Art. They can be painted or inked and just add a fun flair to your work space.  She also got to give away a freebie!

There were also several layouts (8 to be exact) from brand new lines and all in all attendees received $100 worth of goods and projects!  Not to mention all the amazing specials that they received!  It was a super fun day and I am pretty sure that everyone had a blast!

This year’s Trade Show flowed easier than last year. By signing up for 1 of 3 sessions, it was possible to look at each table without being pushed by the crowd. There were chairs. available to rest as needed. Finally, the bottle of water which we were given at check in was an extra nice touch Thank you for such av nice, organized day!!!!!
